Refit/make over Landcruiser FJ40

Post by scub_a_holic »

I am looking to get an FJ40 done up inside and out.

Does anyone know a good company near Brisbane that carry out this kind of work? What I had in mind was having the rust removed and the body resprayed. The roll bar material, carpets and dashboard replaced. Rear seats and a soft top fitted.

Thanks for any info,
John

you could always save some money and do some of the work yourself if you have the abilities

sounds like you may have to go to a few different places to get all of that done.

Otherwise your going to be spending $$$.

Not sure about my ability, never tried anything like it before.

Definitely, don't have the space or the tools to carry it out. Live in a unit in the cty centre.

Getting it completed in stages in fine. Just not having much luck on finding information on getting someone that can fit out the interior, seats would need to be certified, as its never had back seats and the front ones were fitted originally by someone that must have had a fetish for straps n'buckles, man they are everywhere.

I am planning on keeping this for some time, so hapy to spend a bit on it.

Thanks,
John

someone correct me if i'm wrong, there is a place called 'Streetwise' (i think) that i would be talking to, pretty expensive but if u want it certified/engineered they are the experts on seating... located over near the gateway somewhere.
