TB42 Vapour lock - newbie Q's

Hi all,

Took my GQ out today for first run, went quite good.

Talking to one of the guys on the trip he was mentioning that the TB42 can suffer vapour lock with the LPG when doing steep climbs/descents.

He mentioned it can cause loss of power, overheating and is common reason for doing heads. What are these vapour locks, what causes them and how can they be avoided?

EDIT: After doing more google searching I have discovered that vapour locks are caused by high temperatures vaporising the fuel in the lines cause loss of power or even total shut down. I cant quite understand how this causes overheating though? (or is it overheating causes vapour locks - so keep cool keep ok?)

Sounds like vapourlocking may lead to running lean, which can cause overheating....

if you're car is overheating due to lack of water the lpg system will generally freeze over quite quickly and the car won't run
