ok my tb42 carby is having some wierd clutch issues. symptoms as follow

slipping like a bitch



it seems that the slave in forcing its self out like im pushing the peddle down,but all the time
i can push it back to take the load off the clutch fork but it just pushes itself back and runns continuously like the cluch peddel is half down, its a almost mew excede tuff clutch, im thinking the vacume booster part of the master cylinder or something????

any ideas would be great,
any body had the same problem???? :? :?

Mate try removing the vacuum line off the clutch booster (plug the line so you dont have a big vac leak) and see if it still slips - clutch will be a bit heavier - if its ok you know its the booster - good luck

(if the petty clutch is set up the same as the diesel) i had same issue, it was air, as the engine heated up the air expanded pushing in the clutch.....they are a prick to bleed with the clutch line loop running up the fire wall creating a natural air trap.

The best way I found was to reverse bleed the system from the slave bleed nipple, and force all the air up and out to the clutch bleed nipple at the diesel filter and out the master reservoir tank.
Bit of silicon hose on a oil can works sweet.

its all fu*ked up

its nothing to do with the vacume ur master or slave. its the cluch itself, full of mu i guess, and its stuck.
my brothers did the exact same thing in the same car(tb42 cerby troll). so new plan
any body got ideas on gow to unstick it with out tilt traying it to a mechanic (i have no shed and none of the gear tho lift a box out) and no friends :-( :finger:

i really only have the clutch fork hole to work threw atm
i beleive the problem was i didnt have a clutch fork boot on previously (my stupid fault i know, shut up)

can any body unstick my clutch???

we had a simular problem a while ago in my old beast, half way thru a trip too lol, we borrowet a hose and hed it flat out in the clutch fork hole while a mate pumped the clutch and gave it revs up and down and it came good as new after about 5 to 10 mins.. mine started slipping slightly and got worse and worst over about 1/2 hr.. and the water thing fixed it perfect!!! (its prob not the best for ur clutch, washing it with water, but its better than it not working at all)

thanks bloke, i rang my old man (mechanic) and he said drown the fucker with the hose too :D , not the best for it in the long run but who cares if its moving again
