There's your problem.
Those figures are about right for a heavy footed 3.5 running cheap shit ethanol.
The worst part about being told you have Alzheimer's, is that it doesn't just happen once.
Re: 3.5 v8 excessive fuel consumption
I think that sort of usage is about normal. My 3.9 in a disco used the same.
I like Salt
Re: 3.5 v8 excessive fuel consumption
16-17L/100 is a good economy figure for a motor of this vintage. Sure there are better figures (rarely) but realistically these days anything under 20L/100 is good.

Re: 3.5 v8 excessive fuel consumption
Well done mate. I would be stoked if I could get that.
So other potential Disco members aren't disappointed, I've had a 3.5 Rangie and 2x 3.9 Discos, and have always averaged 18-20L/100 on ULP, and 20-22/100 on LPG.
16/100 was maybe for highway, easy on the right foot, etc.
However, current Disco on LPG even at 22/100 is still cheap to run since gas is still around 62c/L in QLD
