supercharge wrote:Gidday Dave. Sounds really good and we are trying to get there. Tell me something, please tell me that you have some long sections not just in a gully, out a gully, around the tree, back down the gully. Just some good old fashioned sprints with 1 or 2 winch challenges in a stage, like it was 5 years ago, when we had lots and lots of 4WD competitors, not just a few 4WD's and now some Polaris's - which I think by the way are great!
Just as a thought, can you please make sure that there is lots of firewood available - that would be really appreciated by all. Kind regards, Supercharged.
Hi, you have always had at least one longer drive (depends on amount of land we have). Gullies will always be there, and I will try to toss in some different types of SS for you this time, maybe water or bridges, let me think about it.
Cheers

O, about the fire wood, I have made sure that all camps will have a full supply of timber for the competition weekend.
You may just have to go and collect it. There is over 1000 acres of it, but please only pick the stuff that is dead and will burn when it is lit not stuff that will be good in 12 months time.
Cheers

PS:- Bring your long johns and blankets.

Sunday was camp set up. We will be based in the first Camp Ground from the house, great area.
Have put into place 3 SS for Friday night, 2 x short winch SS & one longer drive one with a difference. I am not planing on a late night on Friday. Compete, stand aroud the fire, have a feed & a drink then into bed.
Be ready to start around 530 on Friday night, so planning to see that fire quite early.
Saturday have longer SS with multi winches and longer drives.
Don't forget to let us know extras you may have for dinner on Saturday night.
Weather has been great, make sure that you bring your woollies along. Ice on the ground this morning and sitting on around 5c at the moment. Weather is expected to be fine, so I hope for no repeat of Round 1.
Cheers
David.
