Heal and toe with sierra pedals?!

Post by masterA »

Hi guys,

Did a search and nothing came up so thought id post and see if anyone can help me out of point me in the right direction.

As most of you know, the sierra accelerator is lower than the brake/clutch pedals which makes it near impossible to heal and toe.

I love the heal/toe especially on the hills or when downshifting through the gears not to unsettle the car (especially in corners)

I was wondering if anyone has raised the accelerator pedal (or sunk the brake pedal) to make them even?!

I thought about heating the brake pedal and bending it but didn't think that was a smart idea as it could fracture the metal and could break leaving me without brakes down the track.

Ideas/suggestions?!

I can and do heal toe mine. With my heal on the brake and toe on the gas. I do it quiet often when on slippery rocks. Now that I think about it so do the other guys I wheel with that have sierras. I guess we all have big feet.

hand throttle on the gear stick so you can blip it when needed or just stop being a ricer :finger:

good on hills, hand is already there when shifting

i agree with V.W. Dave just use your toe on acc pedal and heal on the brake , or i have found that you and use the clutch with you heal and toe on brake with right foot on acc but this is hard to do when in rough ground

Thanks for the tips :)

I tried doing the heal on the brake and blimping with the toe but it feels too unco and i don't feel comfortable at all so will not be doing it.
I don't understand why Suzuki did such a stupid thing by making the pedals uneven

Anyway...i'll keep looking into it and see if anyone managed to change the pedals or modify them somehow....maybe bend the accelerator pedal :)

Yeah...thats exactly how i do it with all my other cars but the sierra's pedals are not even...the accelerator is a good 1-2" lower so can't even brush it with the heal or side of the foot....even with my work boots that are big and clunky
