AXEL TRAMP

Post by UTEGQ »

Well i'm gettin really agressive axel tramp only when i'm heavy enough on the throtal to roost rear wheels so they are spinning, shakeing the whole rear end of my ute roughly, noisy, jolting jumping rear end. got a GQ ute, 6inch spirngs, lifted propperly with turbo and other goodies . I've tried to solve this problem for a while now, done bushes in rear tralling arms and then could see rear drive shaft hitting chassie thought this was the noise and shake but NO it wasn't, chassie is now notched to clear tail shaft.
Im wondering if any one has had a similar problem and would like to no how to stop this noisy shake.

diff is trying to drive its way under and out the front of the car, due to the 6 inch lift causing the angle of your rear suspension arms to increase. dodgy fix, you could put a limiting strap on. proper, longer arms to decrease the angle and soildish bushes to keep it all in place. Or just get rid of the silly lift. (sorry dnt like 6 inch lifts) :D

prob not without re designing the rear suspension. It is just how nissans are, a lot of anti squat. Longer lowers (ie superior long arm kit) will help a lot.

more power and stiffer shocks usually does the trick, but as said, its very much a design thing and is amplified by overly large lifts
