Ok so Ive decided on doing a flip arm to the hungy i currently have running approx 5" lift! I have been researching a fair bit on various forums and gathering information and think Im at the point to just get into it!
I want to hear from anyone who has done one before and any unexpected issues they may have encountered! My reasons for doing it is so i can set the castor back to standard prob about 4 deg appose to 1 deg it is atm with the castor plates!
I want to know when I adjust the panhard up a little higher to suit the arms been on top of the diff!
When i modify the panhard mount it will lift it about (20mm higher/out of parallel) to the steering rod, as this will be left standard (no high steer)! Will it cause any steering issues or bump steer!
I dont think it will as it currently sits out of parallel at the moment but its approx 20mm lower with its 5" lift, and seems to steer ok considering castor isnt that great!
Any information or personal picture of the process will be appreciated as Im after people who have do this to either there 80 series or 105! Im not after a debate about other options that I could do!

Id just get droped arms far easier, I've got snake ones in my 80 with a 5'' lift drives good as, caster back to normal.

at 5" lift with the flipped arms or dropped arms, you will almost certainly have vibrations in your front driveline as the pinion will be lower down and you will have dramatically increased the angle at the front uni joints.
IMO it would be best to flip the arms and also do a cut and turn on the steering knuckles to get the best outcome. I've done a cut and turn to correct caster on an 80, but it is not day surgery.
with the panhard rod, modify both the diff mounting brackets and the chassis mounting bracket to keep everything as parallel as possible
I've had an 80 with 4" lift and now have a 105 with 2" lift (both twin locked). The 105 has been every where the 80 has been with little difference in ability. the 105 just needs sliders on it IMO. I would hesitate in going to 4" lift again, too much is compromised, particularly if it is used for daily duties

Na, forget the 2. 4 to 5 is the go. aproach and ramp over angles are greatly reduced with 2". Fit a part time and no more vibrations at all. Im running the superflex arms and it drives 80% as good as stock. If your 80 is an auto you can get drop boxs to suit. Everything youll need is right here. Including rear panhard drop brackes, and rear upper and lower control arms drops aswell.

Thanks guys for the info, I started the flip arm today and all is going well! ill post a write up and pictures once done! panhard issue is ok now i have found a way to keep it reasonably parallel!

I tried loser but your 4wdlinks is still down.... junk i tell you!
sweet thanks raymond, I have a lot more room to adjust panhard than I initially thought so should be able to get it nearly spot on parallel! and steering full lock right still clears mount enough that it wont hit!
