Yep, spoke to Marks and they didn't know. Anyone else have the specs for me ??? Or, for the big test tell me which ratio Marks Adapters gear set will fit in my transfer. It's a NH Sept 93 build.

When I was about to buy my crawler gears from
Marks4wd i remember that both the 2.6L and the 3.0V6
use the same crawler gears with a ratio of 2.8:1 . The
3.5L Gas and the 2.8L TDI has a higher ratio of 3.5 IIRC.
I hope the info helps. :)

From the best of my memory, 26 spline, though thats not real helpful as im only about 60% sure. Just had a look through all of my conversion pics and not one of the shots is taken from the right angle to do a full spline count.

I've heard that NP242 transfer cases have been swapped in. Not sure what that would entail, in terms of spline count and such. The NP242 has a gear ratio of 1:2.72 in low, which is much better than the original (at least in my 2.8TDI auto NL) 1:1.90 if I recall correctly. Might be worth looking into.

Thanks for the info. Indeed the correct gears for mine are the 2.854:1 ratio. Towing a camper trailer off road down steep inclines with the standard low ratio is crap. Marks are out of stock at the moment and are testing a new set shortly. After that back in production with sets available late November to mid December if all goes well.
