2lte to 2lt

Post by SKITLEZ »

Hi looking for someone with knowledge on L series hilux motors. I have a 2lte sitting in a surf. Wondering if it is possible to bolt on a mechanical pump instead of electronic and away we go bolt it into my Hilux. Or is it not that simple. I have done some research bit can't find much info on the differences in engine type. The other question would be can I bolt on an 2.8 pump to deliver more diesel would this be a good idea or is there no point.

Cheers

yes the 2lt pump will bolt on. so should 3l pump if you can't get the 2lt one. you may need to swap around some injector lines and sort out the inlet butterfly system.
if hilux had non efi pump then all wiring should wire up ok.

My advice would be to install a 2.8 and bolt on the 2lt turbo.
