Round 3 will be hosted on a "Brand New" Property.

Camping is available on site, no showers but toilets will be on hand.

Catering available over the weekend.

Presentation Dinner on the Saturday night is still to be confirmed. Paddock or Pub, tough decision, so lets wait & see.

There is accomodation available at Bendemeer Pub if you do not want to rough it. There is also a small caravan park there as well, cabins may be available

Cheers

Hi, Just been informed that the camp ground will be next to the river, so bring your fishing rods and in NSW you might need to get a fishing licence if you want to use it.

I will be heading to event site Friday 7th October and will be based by the river, so if anyone wants to come and have a nice break from the "Ratrace" let me know.

There is phone service at the event site.

8th and 9th we will be marking out tracks, all welcome except for drivers & codrivers.

Dinner Saturday night will be at the pub in Bendemeer.

Jill Smith and her crew will be doing the catering starting Friday night to the finish Sunday afternoon.

Cheers

I could be wrong, and I don't want to mix things up, but Im pretty sure that the dirt road that leads off the New England Hwy just south of the RTA overhead cameras is signposted as "Bendemeer Station Road".

Wanted to have a go at this round - just for pure fun and the experience, but have yet to find a winch. (Eyby's / Prongy's yellow rangie has found a new owner)

Yes you are correct, it is Bendemeer Station Road.

You have plenty of time to get the Rangie finished.

By the phone calls I have had I should have a field of 14plus vehicles (hope all turn up)

I leave for the Event site tomorrow morning.

If anyone wants to lend a hand this weekend just give us a call (0418 745 830) This invite is open to all except drivers & codrivers (I like to keep it fair for all competitors)

Cheers

Well my second time at event area and I am more pleased with what I have to work with then before.

This afternoon we sorted out SS1 a very nice sprint stage, nearly 3 k's long.

SS2 & 3 are nice quick SS that the crowd will enjoy. Early night I hope.

Tomorrow will see Saturdays & Sundays SS starting to come together.

Don't forget it is daylight savings now in NSW for the Queensland competitors.

SS areas are very shady, so if a hot sunny day will be great for all that are here.

Below are some more directions into the comp area after you turn off the Highway into Bendemeer Station Road:-

0.00 kms Turn off Highway

0.05 Grid

0.15 Creek crossing, caution with old concrete courseway.

1.15 Creek crossing

1.25 Grid

1.45 Grid

1.55 Go under power lines

1.75 Gate

2.05 Straight on (road on left)

2.45 Gate

2.65 Turn left (GPS S30.54.655 E151.09.709)

2.85 Grid

2.95 Grid

3.45 Grid, welcome to ARB XWC Event site.

Please note that these measurements are only a guide.

Drive slowly as there is stock on the road

Cheers

:) :) :)

The ARB XWC track building crew (3 of us, Peter, Michael & MMM) have just walked back to camp after MMM getting stuck on part of the SS with the wagon, waiting for recovery vehicle to arrive. O what a feeling.

Time for lunch & a beer.

Car was recoved (Had to be winched about 450mm).
We were then employed as council (less shovels) watching Chris do road works.

We aslo managed to nut out all SS except Sundays.

Tomorrow will see us laying out the pink bunting. Remember to bring some warm stuff to wear.

Cheers

Monday 10th.

Well a lot of progress has been made today.

Just stopped for a late lunch then back into it.

Friday SS1 (sprint run) 90% finished. SS2 Finished. SS3 just need to do 5 minutes of slashing.

Saturday SS4 Just have to put in a gate :) :) :) SS5 punch has to be added to the Course.

Saturday SS6, 7 & 8 have been getting cleared by a D5 and the gully is looking like a highway. We will be able to get to them tomorrow when the dozer is finished.

Weather is fine but windy & cool.
