Wednesday evening update:-

Finished SS1, 2, 3, 4 & 5.

Helped to get out a bogged D5 dozer (15 plus tonne), Neil the dozer man did a great job of sinking the D5 into the earth. This was a little bit different then getting out a 4wd.

Sorted out SS 6,7,8,9 & 10. Tomorrow will see them marked out.

I did not get attacked by any wildlife today (yet) :) :) :)

At the moment I have 13 entries, still a possible 2 or 3 more.

Cheers

-:Thursday morning ARB XWC Event site Bendemeer:-

Eastly winds have picked up, little bit warmer.

Now time to go and mark out what was not done yesterday due to Neil (was a legend) dozer man getting bogged.

Not to worry, more help has arrived, now we have 3 old farts marking out the SS.

More later

Cheers

Thursday afternoon update from ARB XWC EVENT site Bendemeer:-

It looks like we have 15 entrants for the start tomorrow.

All SS (Sunday excluded) are marked and waiting for Teams.

The Beachies have arrived and a few more Officials are expected in the morning.

Weather is still blowing from the East and still bloody cool.

Signs are up on the road.

Cheers until tomorrow.

Friday, ARB XWC Bendmeer update:- Track finished, paper work nearly complete. Christian Trusz & Terry Kane were the first to arrive, followed by Emily Taylor & Neil Taylor and now the Farm Truck has just driven in with Dave & Pat Burrows onboard. 3 down 12 to go.
Tracks look real good, I am very happy with what a few of us have acheived in the last week, thanks Michael, Greg, Peter, Goog, Chris & Co and of course the Legend Neil Wood the dozer driver.

Saturday morning update from ARB XWC Bendemeer:-

3SS last night.
Fastest at the moment on SS1 (sprint) was Christian Trusz & Terry Kane, there is still a Polaris to run this morning.

SS2 A lot made this easy ground anchor stage look very hard. The fastest being Cam Gale, 2nd Christian Trusz & Terry Kane but along with a couple of others left the gate open.

SS3 winch up and reverse winch down was won by Cam & Col.

Then the rains came, has been raining most of the night (just light) and now the winds have picked up.

So a good day is expected

Yes it was a great weekend, apart from the rain all Friday night after the night SS.

Overall the weekend was a total success.

It was very strange that the competitors being allowed to watch up close for the first time have just seen why I have not allowed this for the last 12 years of Xtreme events. In 4 words:- IT IS NOT FAIR, competitors words not mine.
So back next year with where possible before the start you may walk the SS, after it starts you will be allowed to watch from a distance.

Series Winners:- 1st Rod & Russell Rathbone 2556pts, 2nd Chris Wood & Chris Christopher Brame 2148pts, 3rd Paul Semmens & Nathan Mills 1997, 4th Dave & Pat Burrows 1994pts, 5th Lynda O'reilly-Ward & Aaron Ward 1972pts, 6th Graeme & Josh Hodge 1794pts, 7th Emily Taylor & Neil Taylor1548pts, 8th Dean Wood & Josh Kal 1523pts.

And the Round 3 Winners of the ARB XWC are:- 11th Emily Taylor & Neal Taylor 497pts, 10th Dean Wood & Josh Kal 611pts, 9th Nathan & Les Chivers 652pts, 8th Graeme & Josh Hodge 683pts, 7th Arron Ward & Steve O'Donnell 693pts, 6th Chris Wood & Chris Christopher Brame 703pts, 5th Cameron Gale & Colin Warneken 779pts, 4th Rod & Russell Rathbone 803pts, 3rd Dave & Pat Burrows 822pts, 2nd Paul Semmens & Nathan Mills 868pts and the winners are :- Christian Trusz & Terry Kane 880pts. Congrats to all.

I would like to thank all my Official's who did a top job on the weekend, some travelled from Sydney and Brisbane area. Also a big thanks to Tamworth 4 WD Club for all there help. All of my Sponsor's:- ARB, Exedy Clutches, 4WDTV, Superior Engineering and The Springs. And a very big thanks to Chris & his family for the use of their land.

Cheers and again thanks to all that made this such a great weekend.
