I have got a swb soft top seirra around a 87 model i think, and was thinkin about puttin a corolla motor and 5 speed gearbox in, do they bolt straight in with a bit of work here nd there? any help wold b great

as posted its been done before.
firstly the rolla motor needs a rwd conversion done to it and mating to a t50 gbox - preferably the hydrolic version but these do cost more.
engine mounts need to be made, trans tunnel cut for levers.
rwd manifold etc
can be done without body lift but easier with it.
over all they fit fairly easily, but its not a bolt in conversion - its different manufacturers being combined.
Would I recommend it? Yes but go for an efi version like the 4age instead of pissing in the wind with a 4ac.

if you have a manual RWD gearbox to suit, from an AE71 or something, that may be worth something........
