Wanted advise on windjammers
Having recently taken the top off my 40 series and just went on a long trip without a top, which was cool but I was thinking of making up a windjammer to stop the wind messing up the back of my hair, (just kidding I have no hair)
but I think it will make long drives more comfortable like the ones seen on some jeeps.

More like water resistant
They dont seal where the top meets or around the doors but will keep a light shower out and if you are moving then even a heavy storm you dont get that wet
Try the bestop halftop or the california tops for a water proof version it is all one piece in these tops
I'm running the windjammer at the moment and it's really quite amazing how effective it is - with a bikini & windows up, you still get that biting wind on the back of yer head/neck/arms. But with the jammer on, it's just like driving with a full top on. Even with the roof off (as seen below) you still hardly get any wind in the cab!!! They REALLY work!

There are several reasons but i guess the main advantage is for a different look. I have it because it's easier to take off and put on than the full top and causes less wear on the full top.
i thought that, that was the main reason but wasn't sure. thanks for clarifying that up for me.
Mark.
Interesting top
Found this on an american site it was relevent to this thread and I thought was cool...........Dazz
I was thinking of making a roof like kermit has on his LJ80 which is a little top ( bikini like ) with a removable clear rear window which goes down to the tailgate area if you like sorry don't have any photos i have wondered how that would work
If you can not get there in a 4wd its not worth looking at
