TJM Parramatta 4x4 Masters, 7th of July

Post by 4x4 Masters »

In 2012 the Australian 4x4 Masters is changing!

Changes to the competition structure will see a single-event competition running Saturday 7 July 2012. Competition rules and format on the day will be as per previous years, however there will be no cumulative scoring between events. Starting at 9am the event will continue under lights into the night - spectators should bring a comfy chair and a jumper! On-site camping will be available for spectators and competitors on Fri and Saturday nights.

Exciting news! An Outlaw Class for Tuff Truck and buggy type vehicles will also be running at the event, and there’s talk of a Touring Class – stay tuned for more information soon

If you have any suggestions on improvements we could make to the event feel free to email me at mark.aylott@4x4masters.com.au or give me a call 0409 744359

cheers Mark

G'day Mark.

Where can I find details on this series? I'd like to find out a bit more about it. Mainly what is the style of comp and what are the requirements for entry?

Cheers

Steve

Don't worry. I found it. :D

For 2012, Any chance you can ammend the rules so that the Navi's don't need to get back in the car? All my navi's injuries have come from slamming his hand in the door trying to jump back in at the end of the stage. :bad-words:

Hey Mark. I can't get my truck up and running in time for these events so if you need a hand and I'm not at work I'll be happy to help out at the comp if you like. I'll give you a call after xmas mate.

Cheers

Steve

Is there going to be an outlaw class for all rounds? Something thought out a bit better than just giving 3 mins? We are keen to cone down but not if it's just going to be some rushed job where the only way to finish a track is thrash the crap out of it or run rear steer

As Per The Australian Fourbyfour Masterseries Facebook page as of the 30 March 2012

" In 2012 the australian 4x4 Masters is changing
Changes to the competition structure will see a single-event competition running Saturday 7th July 2012. Competition rules and format on the day will be as per previous yrs. however there will be no cumulative scoring between events.
Starting at 9am the event will continue under lights into the night - spectators should bring comfy chair and a jumper!

Also the scoring has changed - it will be pionts reached minus penalties, If tied at the end of the day times will be used.

thread has been updated,

Kurt, we only finalised the details with the creek a couple of weeks ago on the new format. The scores for last years round 4 are up on the site. We understand there was some issues last year with scoring but these have been addressed and will not happen again.

Hey mate,

I just took a quick look through all the comps on, and there are only 1 or 2 in NSW these days :(
I miss the days of WeRock and the others that have come and gone.

So you and one or two other groups are pretty keeping the comp scene alive in this state.
A big well done to you. Without 4x4 Masters all the guys would be building trucks for the chance to
use it once a year in tuff trucks or maybe Nissan trials (both once off events)

Keep up the good work. I'm sure anyone that has been toiling away building up their trucks would
be very happy to see what you are doing out there at Eastern Creek.
I'll definately try to make it along with a bunch of people on the 7th.
