Stainless Snorkel
Stainless Snorkel
Hi, Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction for buying 4 " rubber elbows and bends and stainless tube in melb or online.thanks
Re: Stainless Snorkel
Millweld do a really nice stainless snorkle.
If you want to use rubber bends and elbows then go to a truck supply shop.
You will get the bends you are after and even a 4" snorkle head.

Re: Stainless Snorkel
I just did the same thing mate, got the tube and bends from Tubesales (i think they were in thomastown, they just sent it out). They were well priced and sent it out asap.
I got a 4inch silicone 90deg bend off ebay ($20) the seller was yyautoparts and they offer pickup from Mt. Waverly which is handy.

Re: Stainless Snorkel
thanks for all replies, My brother in law and i are both gonna fit them, he is replacing his safari in an 80 series and mine is new install on the gq.
He has done all the running around today and got the pipe and bends.
We also got some t bolt hose clamps but not sure if people put hose clamps or just silicone.
Has anyone fitted one to a tb42e and not ran the pipe all the way along the guard to the airbox intake.Im thinking of coming through the guard earlier and then moving the overflow bottle.and running the pipe on the inside of the engine bay, few more bends though.
any thoughts and even better picks

Re: Stainless Snorkel
yeh tubesales in thomastown seems to be cheapest around. however a new stainless supplier just opened up in kilsyth up from corner of canterbury and liverpool rd. prices are pretty good and service is great
Re: Stainless Snorkel
Thanks for all the help guys.
4'' tube from tube sales was the go.
After 1 big hole saw and a bit of nutting out the snorkel is now done.
I was going to come through the guard earlier than where the original pick up was but as there was a brake line running through i decided to go all the way.
All i need now is to source a 4'' to 3'' reducer which wont be hard and it will be finished.
In the process i broke off a little vac line that goes into the original plastic air inlet pipe.I'm going to srew a barbed fitting in to fix it but does anybody know what this vac line does. It goes to a little actuator near the airbox.
Cheers

I'll back it up. Tubeweld. Have what you need for a good price.
Re: Stainless Snorkel
Ebay - have the cheapest 4" elbows / joiners you can find, they are cheap but a quality silicon rubber <$30
