308 no spark!

308 no spark!
I have just replaced the ignition coil after wiring the old one with polarities reversed (dickhead) and fixed it all up and still no spark! I have ign 12v to the pos pole on the coil, and the neg pole is earthed out through the dizzy. I have pulled the coil lead to try and see if there is a spark coming frm there but nothing... Does anyone know what could be happenIng?

if its got points check your gap.if its electronic check your module.

You mean through the points yes?
Make sure you have the right ignition feed to the coil. A simple check is to hot wire coil positive direct to the battery and see if you get spark. If you do then the ignition feed you are using is not active when the ignition switch is in the start position, only in the run position.
