6lt motor transplant Nissan/Toyota - Queensland

Post by XTREME MMM »

Hi, this is just a bit of advise for all that are thinking about engine replacements.

The maximum size petrol motor that you can fit into a full size 4wd is 5.8lt/351ci.

Where as the 6.2 & 6.5 Chev diesel can be fitted and plated under the LA1 Code.

Anything over 5.8 excluding the 6.2 or 6.5 (Chev) diesel you must first seek approval from Vehicle Standards/Qld Transport to fit motor (Form 1854).

If approved they will then give you an approval letter which you then give to your Engineer or Approved Person for plating. This is a one of Approval and it must be sought again if you are going to do another one.

Cheers
