mog80 wrote:The Opposite Lock Challenge is on again June 9th to 11th 2012 at the same location as last year just outside Mudgee & once again hosted by the On All 4's 4wd Club. We will be looking for Clubs to volunteer by helping out to run tracks. As per previous years this event caters for the standard to the heavily modified 4wd & is a fun & relaxing family orientated weekend. There will be more details to follow.
To all u lucky people coming next weekend we have great news!
Sat night is going to be huge! Like last year the outlaw class will once again be struting there stuff on the rock and slog track under lights, but this year we want more whole club involvement, so we have more night events for all. We will b haveing a club v club tug of war (people not cars), a ten spring bowling alley and we've been hard at work in the shed putting together 2 super modified vehicles that best of all u get to use! Thats right each club must choose 2 drivers and 2 navis to manouver our purpose built rigs thru a woodpecker style short course, bring nothing as each rig with have its own safety and recovery gear, thats right all the fun and no pesky mech bills 4 you. Bring a camera as this should be wild to whatch! To top it all off theres a Band to rock into the night with. C u all there, chris.

Home, unpacked and soon to be showered

WHAT A FANTASTIC WEEKEND!

Well done & thank you to the On All 4's Club and especially to Jamie & Julie for allowing the event on their property.

Had great weather all weekend, although the minus-5 Sunday morning slowed us up a bit <<insert frozen smilie>>. It was great having an event that allowed 4 different classes, providing a great opportunity for fun for the not so big trucks, to the outlaws able to provide some fantastic entertainment as well, especially at the night event. Doing that event with dodgy radios was the hardest thing I've done as a navi, but getting to 60 was a great drive by Bobcat. Personally, I was absolutely stoked to take 2nd in class (first was to a fellow Blue Mtns member, so that was great) a huge thanks to my navi John, couldn't have done it without ya mate! But at the end of the day it wasn't about the score, it was about having some great 4wding fun, cheering on others and a great time with a bunch of club mates and members of other clubs to share a story or a beer with.

Like everyone, we were shocked, appalled & disgusted that some lowlife could steal a generator at a club-only event. As Jamie requested, if anyone knows anything about this crime, then do something and deal with it. DO NOT LET THIS PIECE OF SCUM GET AWAY WITH IT. There were a couple of hundred people ready to stone the *&^$#@ if caught next day. Jamie made the comment that the people who attended were "like family" meaning the 4WD family. Well, let's get this sorted like a family should.
Cheers, Tony

All,

We need to remember James Whalan was the main organiser of this event, Julie & I are just the property owners. So credit needs to go to James & the rest of the hard working On All 4's 4wd Club for such a great event & weekend.

Also a special mentioned needs to go to the Kamakazie & Brisbane Waters, & Dubbo 4wd Clubs with helping out through the weekend.

I would just like to thank everyone for being well behaved & keeping the property clean. I only picked up one garbage bag of rubbish from the whole weekend. Although this is not perfect we are not far from it. So once again thanks.

ATTENTION ALL ATTENDING CLUBS

Our club (Blue Mountains 4WD Club) is trying to contact all attending clubs. I have been able to email a number of you tonight (Dubbo, Offroad, Watagans, Dirt & Dust, Gold Eagle, Motorex, Macarthur Districts).

If your club is not listed above, and you or others from your club attended the event, please "pm" me an email contact for you or your club, or email me at: info@bluemtns4wdclub.asn.au

Please do this as I'm sure we all want to help out the host club.

Thanks everyone.

Newcastle Rover Owners Club
Brutt 4x4 Club

I think there were members from Coalfields 4x4 there as well (?)

If you were at OL Challenge and belong to one of these clubs, please either PM or email me at: info@bluemtns4wdclub.asn.au over the weekend, I'll check back Sunday night.

Very positive response from many we've contacted already, we hope you guys can help out On All 4's Club too.

The other Club that come to mind that was there was low four 4x4 club I dont know a contact

At the end of the day as far as one of our members geni being stolen from the night stage we can't say if it was a club or if it was a friend of a competor of someone else but after last year with two banners beening stolen to the club is getting sick of this and next year one thing we will look at harder is who is coming in and from what club they are

unfortantly this will make it harder for us and you but its the way its going to go

if anyone has any idea they can pm me and we can sort it out privatly

A huge thankyou to those clubs have put their hands in their pockets the help has been such an incouragement it great to see clubs pulling together

We just need to weed out the trouble maker for the benifit of furture events

This is truly horrible.
You guys open up your property for the benefit of 4x4ers, put your time and money, and effort into making a great weekend for 4x4ers, and someone among us repays you for your kindness, by knocking off your gear.
Farking lowlifes!!

Makes my stomach sick thinking that this can happen.

Surely somebody knows who the lowlife is.

I wasnt at the comp, but if you PM me some deets, Ill glady chuck in a few bucks for the cause.

We need more comps of this type near Sydney, scummy behaviour like this is certainly not helping achieve this.
