I've searched found and read till my eyes bleed the benifits of extending the lower rear arms for a factory 5 link, 99% which relates to Pootrol's . I am starting the rear of my 100series into Hilux mod over the weekend and am after opinions ... The longer arms should reduce rear steer and helps a pootrol handle better , but how long ? We don't really have hills up here, but 1000's of k's of corrigations which is what the cars main use will be, so am torn as to how nut's to go chasing mad flex.
So stick with factory style geometry or custom ?

Long arm rear
Luck is when preparation meets opportunity
Re: Long arm rear
Depends how much lift you'll be running. Standard links with only an inch or two lift will still transfer the power to the ground reasonably well. Longer arms are better. If you already have the stock arms, do the conversion and see how you like it. Engineers are more likely to pass something that came from a factory too.
Re: Long arm rear
There is no kit for cruiser. You have to cut, move and reweld the factory mount. I havnt decided yet. But will probably lengthen mine by 250mm and then raise the housing lower mount up until it is just below axle centre.
