I would build it to the rules that Tuff Truck are implementing from now on. Read this thread and you'll get the right material to use...

As for buggy designs, well, that depends on what you like. Single seat, twin seat, 4 seat, front engine, rear engine, rear steer...all of these things impact on the design parameters.

tube sizes you should be using no less than 13/4 2.6mm thick seamless. with min 11/2 braces of same material.

As for plans etc.. as mick said all depends on what you like. Im justa bout to start a 4 seat tube buggy and get rid of my Moglux. i purchased plans from a guy in the states to make it easier, im sure i wont stick to them fully just got them for a starting point.

Image $1500.
I'm not advertising as it has high steel value and I'll just cut it up and use it for my TT. But it's here if you are keen.

I dont know what happened to what i wrote... here goes again..

Series 1 & 2 VN/VP V6 easy as to wire up if you can read a diagram.. you only need 4 relays. Fan, ECU, Fuel pump, Injectors

Eco Tech V6 you need the memcal reprogrammed (marks adaptors, castle main rod shop and a few others these days do this) you also need the same 4 relays above but you also need another power supply in the harness if your running the auto to allow it to shift gears correctly..

Or you can just buy a plug and play harness - Marks adaptors, castlemain rod shop also do these... just beware there ore other places doing these cheaply but there not the best and you will have to rewire them anyway....
