Please only use this thread for Toperi Challenge 2012. There were 3 different threads for the same competition being used. I have locked last years event thread and the other event thread has been deleted and the poster notified via PM.

Cheers

Hi there guys,
Some friend and i are involved in a new club and are interested in competeing. Firstly i would like to ask if there has been a change in the 2x2 rules so that we can work out how many cars we can enter. and secondly as we are only a new club i understand that we may not recieve an entry straight away. Is there a time frame that we can work on. we are keen as ...

In regards to the rule for next year concerning the roll call needing to be CCDA compliant. I cant find anything about exo cages in the CCDA rules.

Will an Exo built to the same specs be passable? Same as Tuff truck.

Also before i spent a heap of money will it be acceptable in years to come?

Thanks

what we are aiming to do is following the safety guidelines of Tuff Truck ... even though our comp rules are different , what we would like to see is the safety guidelines standardized across the whole scope of "rock crawling " comps .... SO WE ARE TAKING THE INITIATIVE
ie ; anyone building up a vehicle to compete in any comp , then the vehicle will be classed as being safe to compete in not just one comp , but various comps that are being held ...... how can one comp be concidered safer than another ?? the chance of roll over exists at all comps ... so best make the safety regs the same

Thats all good. Ive had a good roll over at Toperi as you may remember. Im all for having a decent roll cage.

I mainly just wanted to know if you would accept exo's as i couldn't find them in the CCDA requirements. I didn't want to go down the path of having an exo and an internal cage.

Thanks

You will find that those competitors that ran last year will have gotten the entries sent out to them the other day , then the entries are released to everyone else 2 weeks later as it has done for the past few years .
This way, we feel that we are supporting those competitors who have supported us in the past by getting their entries in quickly ( as its first in, gets on the list until the entry cut off limit is reached )

Exo cages will pass scrutineering just fine if its made from 1.75" outside as the main part of the structure, the CCDA rules are hazey to everyone but by using 1.75" 350mps tube and some good design engineering you will be just fine.

Clubs now can enter more than 2 teams.

I have forwarded the entry forms to the Macarthur club Tony, I am nolonger a member..

When are we going to be allowed to enter buggies up against the cars ?? with the time penatlies within the rules it wouldnt be an advantage anyway.. It would be good to see rego cars, TTC trucks and buggies all in the same comp.. in NSW, the QLD's do it all the time...
Hell Raiser 4 seat social buggy..
