It's been covered here before but I can't seem to find any information that doesn't lead to a dead link.
I've picked up an alternator for an EF Falcon, the 110amp unit. I need to visit the wreckers to pick up the regulator plug to suit and also the charging wire and mounting bolts.
Is there anything else I need to get?
Has anyone else completed this upgrade? What is required as far as installation goes. Do I need to remove the radiator, or drill out any mounts?
A step by step process would be really appreciated, and I'll bet handy for any one else contemplating this upgrade.
Cheers,
Salty

Falcon alternator upgrade for Vitara G16A

Grow some balls.
That is all.
That is all.
Re: Falcon alternator upgrade for Vitara G16A
That's what I was after. I got a plug and wiring harness today from pick and payless. Was $5 for the harness and bottom bolt.
I removed the alternator mount today and drilled out the holes to accomodate the larger bolt. Tomorrow I have to grind a bit off the mount, about 2mm to fit the larger alternator.
Because this is for the Vitara the pulleys are fine as they're all ready multi v. I think I may have to get a bigger belt but I'll know when she goes in. Haven't had to remove the radiator yet either. But we'll see how tomorrow goes.

Get the main fusebox from the EF and use that as well.
