Wheel spacers are illegal.
IFS rear diff would be my preference.

Some comps do not allow wheel spacers now. So it might pay to check the ones your planning on entering

I don't see why you wouldn't just put an ifs rear diff in to start of with. It's not like anything major has to get changed around either. Straight bolt up and chuck your centre in. They're so cheap! Wheel spacers are dangerous. I used to run them, my mate borrowed them anrd one day out wheeling he saw his rear tyre rolling off beside him. Build it once build it properly....
Old and rolled: 94 lux, 37's, air lockers f/r, high steer, ruf, ifs rears, widetracked, longs, duals
New: 90 4runner 80 series diffs, air lockers f/r, LS1, reduction gears, 35's, engineered

80 series chassis and hilux cab. Seriously. You should consider it. There are lots of upsides
