Which globes for g/f Tiida while country driving?

As we are moving to the country in a few weeks the g/f will be doing a little more country night driving. The standard headlights on the Tiida are pretty crap so i'm looking for some upgraded globes for now.

I went into Supercheap and they have Narve Plus 20,50,90,100 and 120 globes but they are all still 60/55w. Has anyone tried any of these? At $55 a pair i don't really want to buy a pair and be disappointed when i can go out and buy a pair off H4 55w HID's for the same money. In the Patrol (B4 the HID's) i was using 100/130 which were a good improvement over stock but not so sure about running them in a plastic (expensive) housing.

Any help would be great!

I've used various Narva globes in my cruiser, they don't impress me, they seem to have a very short life span.
I'm looking at changing to 70w halogen low beam (running heavier cable direct from battery through relays) and HID for high beam.

I was looking at using old school 130w halogens for high beam, but polycarbonate lenses knock that on the head.

I've tried HID kits in previous cars for low beam, but if the lenses etc aren't built for it, I don't rate them.

The HID's seem to work very well in my GQ but if i can avoid them i will.

We drove back through some country roads last night and the Tiida stock lights are pretty good for stock especially in normal situations but on the longer country roads they fall a bit short. Can you buy 75 or 85W H4's? I hate how the jump is from 55 to 100. Somewhere in the middle with a whiter light could be the go. Also the plus 100's are $55-$60 a pair while the 90/100 or 10/130 are still only $8 each.

I don't agree with using globes with a higher low beam wattage, the ADRs stipulate the wattage to protect other road users from being dazzled. If you need more light than stock on the high beam then fit auxiliary lighting to suit.

As far as globe quality in cars and trucks whenever I'm cought short without globes and settle for narva I'm dissapointed in thr extremely short life. I find standard hella globes are the best for longevity and I find they provide adequate light

I fitted Phillips plus 120 to my sister Honda Jazz, they work awesome and seem to be lasting really well.

Depending on how much money you want to spend but if you want a headlight that has a great low beam and a high beam that looks almost like a pair of 70 watt HID spot lights then I'd be recommending projector HIDs. The cut off on these are perfect so you don't blind oncoming cars but you still have a nice clean white light. These highbeams are actually usable light not like your standard hid kit that when you put your highbeams on go up in the air and are usless.

I fitted a set to my GU about 6 months ago and had that many people wanting me to fit them to there cars that that I started a business selling them and installing them. I've now got kits that are fully bolt in and plug and play and they leave every other lighting option for dead. So for $300 and about 4 hours to fully install they are a pretty cheap upgrade compared to a pair of spotlights that can only be used occasionally.
