Rim offset to fit 35" on 80 series

Post by MAD80 »

Hay guys, got a 4" old man emu lift and have been ruinning 285/75R16 with no problems. just got a set of 315/75r16 and they have removed the paint from my inner wheel arch and chassis on the rear. my brother had a 100 series and got the offset changed on his rims to fit 35's at $75 per rim.
does anyone know what offset the standard gxl rims are and what offset should i get to fit 35's, plus anyone know where to get cheaper after market rims.

Standard rims are zero offset, you should be ok with 35s on stock 8" rims.
I had 35s on my 80series, 4" lift, 16x8" zero offset rims with no issues.
I had more issues with my 33s which were on zero offset 16x10" rims.

Be careful with cheap aftermarket rims, some are piss weak.

Google procomp wheels, I had a set, they were tough as and not too pricey.

Are your 35s rubbing paint off in both left and right wheel arch? Have you got adjustable panhard rods?
