2007 Toyota Land Cruiser

Post by cruiser90 »

I'm thinking of bidding for a 07 Cruiser at a Salvage Auction in QLD. I am aware of the implication of having a Salvage vehicle on your hands as far as future selling is concerned. This 07 Cruiser is in perfect condition. At at The bottom of the Salvage report it states.--Vehicle previously repaired- failed WOVI. nothing more . Is this veh to hot to touch or has it some serious problems like being a hot vehicle. It should have passed a 2nd WOVI test if it was all above board.

Is it a repairable (economical) write off or a statutory write off?

It can't be in perfect condition if it failed the WOVI.

There must be a reason it failed the WOVI.

Is the vehicle at Manheim?

Manheim are the authorised agent ( they have a different trading name ) for WOVI inspections as far as I know they are the only one's in brisbane. QT do not do WOVI's. A WOVI will cost you $440 whether you pass or fail basically the inspection is to ensure that the reason the vehicle was taken off the road (economical write off) has been fixed properly. It should tell you on the PPSR certificate why it was taken off the road? Impact damage, flood damage etc etc.

There used to be V check which told you how many times it changed hands and the kilometres, private, commercial or dealer listed.

That particular check did not tell you the written off status.
