Hi all, I've just swapped my 2000 1hz out for a newer and younger 2003 1hz, problem is there seems to be a few extra plugs and vac lines that I just don't seem to have before. They are located in the top of the intake manifold. question is what are they and do I have to use them? Also seems to be a different fuel pump.
This is the only thing stopping me from cranking her over, I'm in urgent need of help.

Re: 1HZ 2003
they would be for the egr system. this wont stop you starting your car. and no u dont have to use them. the car will run better with the egr stuff not connected.
the fuel pump might have security in it. easiest way out is swap the pumps over unless ur old pump is shagged

Re: 1HZ 2003
Got it all going but she runs like a slug, I'm hoping it's got nothing to do with the EGR stuff I still don't have connected. Question is, is there a fuel mixture screw I can adjust up or down?
Re: 1HZ 2003
haveing the egr not connected wont make a difference.
is the pump timed correctly. hows the air filter. howd the 2003 motor run in the old car.
