Re: 1uzfe,auto to hilux transfer adaptor?
Surf auto with the bell housing off the lexus auto and you dont need a adapter to run a chain driven case or if you want to go gear driven case this is what you'll need http://www.locktup4x4.com.au/chain-to-g ... -1414.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; or email them and see if they do on that works with the lexus auto.
plenty of parts on the bench

Re: 1uzfe,auto to hilux transfer adaptor?
You can use the lexus auto and the surf rear auto housing with the chain to gear drive adaptor. You just need to swap or shorten the output shaft. Pic courtesy of Boof
When I rang Locktup, as soon as I mentioned auto they put me onto an Inchworm adaptor, but you only need this is you are running a A343H gearbox from a v6 (I think)
Surf auto is A343F and the marlin/TG adaptor works fine.

Re: 1uzfe,auto to hilux transfer adaptor?
Like Jcas said you have to shorten the output shaft on the auto box from the 1uz and use the toyota surf extension housing off the surf auto I'm using an advanced adaptor (link below) but I can't say how good they are but Chris said they tend to leak so I'm hoping it doesn't will have to wait and see.
I'm running dual transfers behind my surf auto, If I was doing it all again I'd get the trailgear chain to gear adaptor but that means you'll have to run a 23 spline input shaft which will be stronger. I'm running a 23 spline crawler box but a 21 spline main transfer I kinda wish I did a bit more research I would of done both in 23 spline so now I have to wait till it breaks and I'll be needing to get a 23 spline dual transfer coupler and input shaft.
I'd try lowrangeoffroad or Chris at locktup they'll probably end up the same price chris does the chain to gear driven adaptors I think for 450 and lowrangeoffraod does em for 300? but you'll have to pay for shipping.

Inch worm sell 1 from the 4 speed auto to the hilux gear drive case on the website

Re: 1uzfe,auto to hilux transfer adaptor?
Yeah they do I'd probably have a chat to Chris @ locktup to see what he reckons works better.old lux wrote:Inch worm sell 1 from the 4 speed auto to the hilux gear drive case on the website

Re: 1uzfe,auto to hilux transfer adaptor?
Or you could save the cash and just get the extension housing of a surf auto.
Re: 1uzfe,auto to hilux transfer adaptor?
I m talking bout easy and practically without cutting and shutting different parts from different vechicles

Re: 1uzfe,auto to hilux transfer adaptor?
Guess ease and practicality it's good but If you want the cheaper option and really it isn't to hard modding the 1uz box for the extension housing take about 30 minutes and you'll save yourself a good couple of hundred bucks. Plus if you want to go manual down the track with the gear driven transfer then all you have to do is unbolt the transfer from the auto and bolt it onto the r150f and get the clutch and flywheel set up.
Re: 1uzfe,auto to hilux transfer adaptor?
I have an auto frOm behind a 1uz mated to a lt230 that I'd sell

Re: 1uzfe,auto to hilux transfer adaptor?
Thanks for the replies. I ended up getting an inchworm adaptor to marry a gear drive transfer. Fitted it up yesterday and even with the mod to the a341 auto it was really simple. I wanted to go the with this transfer as I had a 23 spline jobby with marlin crawer bits ready to go.

Re: 1uzfe,auto to hilux transfer adaptor?
This option still needs an adaptor to use a gear drive transfer. Through locked up it was going to take 2/3 weeks. Inch drive took one week from the US. Few more dollars though. I still was able to get a clockable option..Blackened wrote:Or you could save the cash and just get the extension housing of a surf auto.

Re: 1uzfe,auto to hilux transfer adaptor?
Glad it went well for you, Either option is easy and the adaptor if Chris doesn't have it you can get in a week ordering straight from the manufacturer.
