TD5 front tail(drive) shaft

Post by Not-e-Nuf »

hi
i need to replace my front tail shaft as its gooone!! I was wondering if a v8 one would fit, as they share the same transfer case. I am replacing the transfer case already so need to find a
front tailshaft, but the only ones i can find are from the v8's. I have a 2001 Discovery TD5, auto.....any help would be appreciated . if anyone has one let me know as i need one ASAP

Yeah it will fit just fine but you going to need to take the rear shaft off at the transfer case end and then rotate the transfer case 360 degrees then put the front shaft on then you will be able to do the rear shafting back up

Another option is to rotate entire vehicle around the tcase assembly!
