Long story,,, engine still runs but up to piston replacement time and head reco time,, can anyone point me to a replacement piston that will be better suited to the turbo and have same installed height on the std rods. I presume there are aftermarket better suited ones, just wondering what some guys have used.
Cheers

Re: 1HZ piston replacement (aftermarket turbo)
There are aftermarket turbo pistons for 1hz, but from what I've read, you need to change rods to 1HD-T rods as turbo spec pistons use the 1HD-T gudgeon pins which are larger than whats in 1hz

Re: 1HZ piston replacement (aftermarket turbo)
You can buy a turbo upgrade kit for the 1hz and its about 1600 if i remember correctly. You get pistons rods gaskets seals etc new head bolts rod bolts and all assembly gear required. Its a good kit and has been working well in my 79 series for a while.I also got a new head and this was around 900 aftermarket.
