Re: 2.0ltr vitara into sierra
A mate of mine had a Sierra with said conversion and auto, went like the clappers ...big problem was the transfer outputs in the centre and the Sierra diff is offset, the car is so short that the rear tailshaft angle killed uni's quickly .
This car ran the std ECU as a result had the vitara key and transponder ring hidden up under the dash, you will need this too if you run the std ECU .
Was fairly basic fab from memory nothing to tricky for mounts and the gearbox member was .......unmemorable ... sorry don't recal it at all .Only pic's I have unfortunatley, the car has been onsold so is up here somewhere

Re: 2.0ltr vitara into sierra
I have put a J18 and auto into a 413 . Goes like a cut cat . Love the auto . It was a reasonably straight forward fit , a few problems thou . The sump has been completely cut and reshaped and is small ( ok for what we do with it ) and needed to notch out more than recomended to fit the selector lever in . It does not have a lift , the us sites that sell the install kits say a 5" lift is required , figures for over there .
I bolted the J18 to a g16 auto and got one of those kits to split the t/case off and used the 413 t/case , for $75usd it was not worth tring to make one . The J18 ecu feed the correct signals to the g16 auto ecu ( 4sp auto ) so all good . Has been running about 4 years now without a failt ( done it now ) .
Ask if you have any questions about what I did .

Not cheep but as I only had 4 weeks to build it thats what used . All went together fine bar the auto selector fouling the drivers foot well .
