Post by Cambo4sho »

Hi guys. Doing a paint jod on the little sierra. The cars all primmed and ready for paint. I just won't to know were to get a nice cheep 4 letters of dark grey. And if a h.v.l.p graverty fed gun is good to use to paint a car. Also if there's any little tricks to make it look better. Thank you.

My suggestion would be to practise on a few panels prior to doing the car, spraying your own can can be pretty straight foward but also a painful experience if not done correctly. A hvlp gun in preferable.

Make sure you pay a lot of attention to the prep work, prep work is 90% of the job.

What kind of primer have you used and what paint are you using?

There is a place in Sydney called vg autos that sells auto paint supplies, they run monthly workshop meetings for guys like you with no experience. Highly recommended for the beginner.
