i was just looking throught old photos from last years nissan trail and was wondering does anyone else think it has become a completion where you go to destroy your car for example Shane Barlow and his 80 series and many more breakages

what do you think

a completion?

and no I dont think its a comp where yuo have to destroy your truck to win or be competitive..

i will be attempting to enter for my first time this year, and at the moment, i dont think it is a comp where you go to destroy your car, we all know accidents can happen if you pick the wrong line and so on.
There will always be a risk involved when competing in any sort of competition.

I agree with other 2 replies.

Ive competed in the last 5 or 6 nissan trials and its upto the individual as to how hard you drive. if you drive sensibly but dont finnish the track big deel, better than driving like a tool like some do and wrecking a car that you prob cant afford to fix.

if you can afford to get it fixed or dont need it for work on monday, then you can have a harder go if you want, but remember that at any time the drivers can stop if they wanted to.

Barlows was bad luck, having said that; the more comps you compete in and the more often you use your rig the more likely you are to eventually damage or wreck it.

where did you see the pic's on here or on Nissan Patrol clubs site I'd like to see more pic's of last years Nissan Trials.

As was already said , you only have to drive as hard as you want so if you destroy it tis only one person to blame >

comps are about strategy - both driving technique and rig setup...
screw one of them up and you could land on your lid or break something.
