Its easy to get around the Booz restriction if you really want. You are allowed to leave and come back as many times as you want. They stop searching after a while and you can bring in more each time. Or just fill your water bottles with clear spirits.

I am very interested to see if the cops show up with Dogs to clear out some of the other products.

I am very keen to see how everything else is going to happen with all the police there doing traffic control.
It is all very welcome and shows that this event is growing. The safty should always be any event managers first priority and I commend Pete on this huge step in doing this for the competitors and spectators. I just hope it works and doesn't hinder the flow of all the event. I just feel sorry for the competitors that need to do repairs or brake at the mud run, they wont be able to stay back at the pits or go to the pits directly after there mud run. Unless there is a permanent road between the two while the mud run is being held. Either way it will be interesting to see how this takes place.

Have a read below.

This year TTC is being run under guidelines of NSW Sport and Recreation. They are being overseen by the NSW police. Whilst we still run within the banner of CCDA, and Tuff Truck supplimentary rules there are some small changes that we have to make to comply with the new guidelines.

1 We have to comply with normal road rules wherever public vehicles and competitor vehicles move about. The property is private but when it is opened up to the paying public it is classed as public domain and normal road rules will apply. We must keep the comp trucks separate as they are not Registered. To achieve this we will have to fence a temporary road from the Competitors Camping/pit area to allow competitors to move too and from the Verification, Show and Shine and the night Mudrats Revenge stage areas. As most of you are aware we already have a separate road for access to the daytime stages and that gate is at at the opposite end of your fenced area.
To make this happen we will extend the Competitors Fenced area towards the Meal Marquee area. There will be a gaurded gated access leading all competitors into the temp fenced roadway to the above areas. This means that without exception all Competitors will have to be in the secured fenced Competitors Camping/pit area. You will all have to move to Show and Shine and the Mud in one group.
This also means that there will not be any competitor overflow area set aside. We understand that this will not be welcomed by some teams but we have to make these new requirements work for the long term future of this great event.
2 We are not allowed to have children under the age of 12 anywhere near to where vehicles are being worked on. We will have to provide a separate area for those teams with under 12's. This will still be within the fenced area. We propose to have 2 or 3 empty bays for those teams to be able to maintain and repair as required. This again has to happen without exception.
If you are planning to have under 12's with you, (they are still very welcome, please do not be put off) all we ask is that you let us know asap so we can allocate the right no of bays.
3 As each team arrives on site it is essential that you see me or Steve as we will allocate all bays this year. If you wish to have several adjacent bays please contact us by this email to ensure we can make it happen for you.

Its guys that think like this we are happy to keep away & seeing as you are one of them, do us all a favour & don't attend this years event.

All vehicles leaving the site will go through the same process on re-entry. Its pretty obvious why punters want to leave the site, so we are very aware that this occurs.

Anyone re-entering the site that already has a wristband will be even more thoroughly checked. this goes for all people, Staff, Competitors, Sponsors & Spectators.

We have an additional 6 guards on the entry gate searching for excess alcohol & other prohibited items & if the spectator wishes to enter the event they must hand over any excess items over the allowance knowing full well its a no return policy.

This event is going to be Massive, we are expecting 10,000 attendees & for this we need to make it safer so the majority can have a great weekend.

16 Days to go!

You won't be waiting.

We have a separate road for competition vehicles & they can go back to camp straight after their run.

Oh, & the child age restriction is 16yrs not 12. this was a typo in the email from Tony P.

Grog restrictions dont phase me one bit. Id be lucky to finish off a full carton by myself while Im there. As said, hopefully itll keep the people away that go to TTC to drink way too much, and start being dickheads, and start fights/steal from people campsites/burn stuff/etc.

Im really looking forward to this years event, even more than last years.

Just over 3 weeks to go

Dave is right, 2 years ago could have loaded my entire car with grog and got in. Last year little better but needs much improvement.

Thanks Stilivn

I love the way every one jumps when I say anything to do with TT. Even when I say something good they all read it as bad. Simple minded people have such a narrow view on life.

I really don't drink all that much. So i have never had a problem in any restrictions. I was simply pointing out the flaws in the search that has been carried out in the past.
Booze is a problem but its the other products that get in that bother me.

Pete,
What a great professional response. Have a re-read you clearly missed where I praised you for all that you have done. If you and your shadows go back and read through just about every post I have said the event is fantastic, your organization of the event is as good as it could be. TT wouldn't be where it is today if you hadn't taken it over.
Instead like always you look past that. Kind of like you looked past the email I sent you a few months ago. In that email I told you I was done with all this BS.

Just in case you forgot here is a part copy from the email I sent you that you never replied to.

I have often said and will always say you do a fantastic job and I take my hat off to you for the efforts put in. It is the best 4wd event in Australia hands down.
This year I am spending more then $2000 before tickets on air fairs and car rentals just to bring my family to your event. I am looking forward to my sons first TT.

I DO NOT intend nor do I want to start the shit fight after this years TT.

Have you thought about running a Aust4 event at the TT site? With the high speed track around it it would be perfect.

I hope all the prep is going well and look forward to seeing the event this year.
