How high can I lift my Hunjy
I know one of those questions.
I have someone who wants their Hunjy lifted and I don't know how high you can easily go on an IFS Hunjy.
So I come to the outers oracle for information.

Re: How high can I lift my Hunjy
Ive got about 50mm lift on mine with a 25mm diff drop installed.
The best arrangement is to make sure you have about 70mm suspension droop otherwise it will be a really shit ride and will bottom out on your shocks all the time.

Re: How high can I lift my Hunjy
front end is torsion bar so they can be wound up, longer shocks, and longer rear coils. All depends on the extra weight of the vehicle you may want to get heavy duty torsion bars.
anything more then 25/30mm lift you will need to look at a drop diff kit/ext brake lines and other parts to maintain longevity on parts.
And as Shadow says, maintaining droop is what will keep the car pleasant to drive.

Re: How high can I lift my Hunjy
We found a kit from Just Differentials that allows for 3" lift.
Kit consists of 4 x remote res shocks, 2 x coils, 2 x torsion bar, 2 x replacement upper control arm for the front and a diff cross member.
Investigating this further at the moment.
Thanks.

Re: How high can I lift my Hunjy
My old boy had an 02 HDJ100 (RIP :( ) with the following:
H/D torsion bars cranked up 60mm
Pedders foam cell struts
3 inch pedders coils and foam cell shocks. Airbags in rear aswell.
Did almost 135000 km on that set up loaded with 180l long range tank, winch bar, warn 9000, twin batteries, spare wheel + all the heavy stuff. Crossed the simmo, did the flinders, 2 trips to the otways and everywhere in between. Ran 285/75/16 ATZ's and fit 35x10.5 centipedes for our otways trips. Just removed the front mud guards and they fit fairly easily.
Only ever broke 1 standard CV at the Pyrenees. Going up a rocky climb, one wheel in the air spinning, came down and caught traction and that was it. We hit it pretty hard.
Ride was still comfy and had plenty of travel still. Got videos of this car fully loaded getting all 4 wheels off te ground at 80k's on the sand with a good landing.
Hope that helps a bit.
Cheers
