Re: 60 series power window Problem!!!!!
What is the 'problem' with the power windows?
Are you sure it's the switch? Have you bypassed it?
Is that price from Toyota? Or have you looked at wreckers/ebay?
Most of us can help, but we're still not sure what it is you need help with...

Re: 60 series power window Problem!!!!!
To buy new rocker switches, assuming you want 4 of them at about $30 a pop, there's $120. Add the door lock and window lock switch, there's another $50. Plus the switch housings, $15. You're now at $185. Add some postage into that and you're not far off $200. That's before you start spending hours on end running wires, and the risk of fucking something up. And you'll end up with an ugly hole in the door. If you're confident it's the switch, I'd just replace with another one.
I have no first hand experience with the ebay quality, but if you're concerned look at 2nd hand.

Re: 60 series power window Problem!!!!!
In my experience, the best thing you can do for most electric windows in cars from that era is leave the old switches in place, but wire in relays to run the window motors. Then the switches are just there to trip the relays.
Of course this depends on exactly what's wrong but most commonly it is tired switches combined with long runs of wire that's too light. Usually the switches are still fine to operate the relays but not to operate the window motors.

This is not legal advice.
