[QLD] Tough Tracks Rd 2 Scenic Rim

Post by Ricko »

Round 2 of Tough Tracks is just around the corner. It is being held at Scenic Rim Adventure Park on the weekend of the 22-23 June 2013. There are 4 classes of 4x4, from Trophy Class with zero lockers, 33" tyres and limits on lift and other mods, through to Outlaw Class which allows buggies, unlimited tyre size and all mods. There is a class to suit your vehicle. Check out the website for rules and entry forms.

There is club meeting this Wednesday night 12 June, at the Moss Street International Pub in Slacks Creek for those who would like to attend, find out further information and also nominate for the event.

The tracks have been set for the event over the weekend just gone. All classes should be set for a cracker weekend with great terrain being laid out to challenge both new and experienced drivers.

Trophy Class can look forward to some friendly rivalry between mates with some new entrants and some great tracks. Mod Class and Trophy Class should be in close proximity all weekend which should make for great spectating. Challenge and Outlaw classes can look forward to some BIG rocks and tight, challenging courses.

In just a day of looking around, I managed to jam a heap of crap in the bead of one tyre, rendering it useless, bugger the alternator, and put a significant ding in the rear quarter panel of my GQ. Not happy. But we had a good day, and the tracks look great. Look forward to seeing everyone there.

Cheers, Rick.

Hi all Tough Tracks Rnd 2 Competitors & Spectators - 22-23 June 2013.

The park fees for Scenic Rim Adventure Park for Tough Tracks Rnd 2 are as follows:-
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE COMPETITION ENTRY FEES ARE SEPARATE - YOU NEED TO PAY YOUR COMP FEES AS WELL AS THE PARK'S FEES.

Day visit $35 for the day (PER CAR) - anyone coming just for the day or to be spectators for the day, pay this fee. There are no individual spectator fees -they can't get around and see stuff without driving so they just pay the day fee.

One night stay - $45 for the 4WD, $8 per adult and $5 per child.

Two night stay - $50 for 4WD, $16 per adult and $10 per child.

If they have a tow vehicle that stays attached to campers or trailer and is not driven around the park, there is no fee for that vehicle.

If a tow car is disconnected from the trailer and used for family to drive around they pay the 4WD fee also, as they are driving in the park and there is no spectator fee.

Those that want to go home can just pay the $45 two day entry fee PER CAR - they won't be charged a Day visit fee for each day.

Tough Tracks Rnd 2 Scenic Rim Adventure Park 22-23 June 2013 -
Please note - there will be NO catering on site for this round. Competitors, sponsors, spectators & officials will have to cater for themselves (officials will be provided with lunch on Saturday). Rathdowney is only 12 minutes away from the park and I'm sure that they would love our patronage.
