the ones i saw in the states made a lot of noise on the freeway but they looked so badass on their pickups who cares! i would buy some, just be on the ball with pressures and rotating oh yeah and get cool rims somehow dont think whites sunnys would look flash. my 2c

friend of mine runs them on a jeep they are noisy on the road but seem to work very well offroad on all surfaces and still wear well

I'd be guessing mention of ~600 for 315's on patrol forum. Find it hard to believe, but they were special orders from US.

Most people that run this tyre buy them direct from U.S tyre stores and get them imported. 35x12.5 16R $247

They are very noisy on the road and from what I've seen they do ok on the rocks. I mostly see them run on the F250's and Chev 2500 4x4's.
This is one of the tires I'm looking at for the new 4Runner project.

he is also selling them for $1750 for a set of 5 35x12.5x16 @ 90-95 percent tread , they cost him just over $500 each landed here

Old creepys vs new mud grappler

Was surprised that mud grapplers tread pattern was so open compared to the creepys.
Mud grapplers weigh 37kg, old worn out creepys weigh 32kg.

grapplers vs mtzs

First run 10psi on the rear on flat ground, found this pressure too low. Increased tyre pressure 2 psi and found this better, still trying different pressure.

On road I am shocked how good they handle, I thought the open and big lugs would be very noticeable. But the tyres are dead smooth.

315/75 16s cost $400 imported from the U.S.

A Sydney tyres store called Talebtyres order them and import them, allow 8-12 weeks for them to arrieve.

Nitto has assigned a new Australian dealer. Now, nearly every tyre shop will be able to source the product through YHI.
There are numerous containers being unloaded across the country as we speak, so most sizes will be in stock.
We will have a display at King of the Park, and I will be racing the Trail-Grappler. The product looks unreal, can't wait to try it!

Who is the dealer? if its the same as another brand of tyre then they'll be bullshit expensive and private impoirts will continue haha

Long shot but, has anyone tried a Nitto Mud Grapper 35x14.50R15LT on 15x8'' rims? I am looking for an aggressive radial mud terrain to suit a 15x8'' rim in 35'' diameter and the Nitto seems to fit the bill just too wide I think, but I hope.

Currently I run Toyo Open Country MT 35x13.5R15LT on the same 15x8'' rims and they are fine. And from what I can see Toyo and Nitto and very closely related and it would not surprise me if they run the same carcass.

Size details of each are below.

Nitto
Size 35x14.50R15LT
Inflated dia 34.80''
Infalted width 14.57''
Approved rim width 10.0''

Toyo
Size 35x13.50R15LT
Inflated dia 34.8''
Infalted width 14.4''
Approved rim width 8.50-11.0

So the Nitto is only 4mm wider (0.17'') which would be its massive side biters.

So anyone tried it? Unfortunately if I change rims ($$$$ I cannot really afford) I will loose my bead locks. Another tyre I am looking at are 35'' Radial TTC claws, but apprently only a little better than the old claws on side slopes and turning. Any other suggestions welcome.

Well I am selling up all my 35''s on 15'' rims and moving to 35'' Nittos on non bead locked 16'' rims. I am hoping they perform similarly to my Toyos which I regularly run down to 12psi without issues no beadlocks.

Nitto and Toyo are owned by the same company or one owns the other, both are high quality tyres.

Yeah I knew that, and from what I have read they have equally strong sidewalls, my Toyos are heavier in the sidewall than my simex.
