To adjust the tappets put in 4th gear, handbrake off and rock the vehicle forwards to turn over the engine. Just do the opposites to the ones rocking or fully open.. Put a brick on the ground a couple of feet away from the tyres to catch it if it moves too much, Common sense prevails. DO NOT have ignition on.
