13bt into 40 series help

Post by Shieldsy »

Hey guys

A mates has a 13bt ready to go into his 40.
Just a couple of quick questions, if anyone has and ideas that'd be great.

1.The 3b has a edic motor. What will he have to do with the starting and stopping on the 13bt
2.The fan is offset on the bt, does that make a difference to fitting? Will it hit anything etc
3.He heard something about running a return fuel line back to the filler neck? Something to do with excess fuel cause of the turboed motor?
These may sound like silly questions but any help is appreciated

you can run a quick stop cable for now to the 13bt
get it up and running.
fuel lines remain the same ?
pretty easy to weld in a elbow to suit the return line to the filler.

13BT does not use EDIC, for start stop it has a butterfly in the intake which is vacuum operated or you can rig it to a push/pull cable. Yes a 13BT runs a fuel return line, standard it goes back into the tank, not the filler neck. 13BT fan is offset the same as a 3B fan, so if his was initially a 3B there will be no difference in the shroud etc.
