ive not long put a g16a into my sierra with 3 speed auto and after pulling the motor from the vitara was unsure how i was going to mount there crazy setup.

i spoke to a few people that i knew had done the conversions and learnt that they shift and kick back by vacuum?
the cable setup factory on the vitara i had went from the auto to a box on right hand front guard on a rocker arrangement then with another cable going into the cab and onto the accel pedal like a t piece which then went out to the carby.this was gonna be too messy and not needed for my buggy

after asking around it seemed some people have this hole arrangement blanked off and done away with at the auto and the vehicle works perfectly, simply by plugging the auto up at the body. others have just ran the cable looped from the auto around into the cab and made up a bracket for it off the accel pedal. Which with some help of another forum member was the way i went. the cable only travels around 5mm or so and from what i was told is the TV (throttle valve) cable to promote a firmer shift and good line pressure. i am not saying what ive put here is right but it may help you as it did me.

Mines only been driven around the yard since the conversion but the shifting is awesome lol

The three speed is a TH180 .. basically the same box as you would find in a HZ holden auto .. most of the tech is the same and there will be alot more of it for a kingswood than a vitara so might be worth a look there.
