HZJ75 Sway bar links

Morning Outers.

I have never played with sway bars really and the time has come to replace the bushes. Now the link bolts are bent and don't look like they want to come free.
Is there a Heavy Duty option to look at now? A quick google search came up with these:http://www.whiteline.com.au/product_det ... ber=W23383
Does anyone have any feedback?

I removed mine years ago with a grinder
ended up putting, the sway bar and stuff back on.
pedders have the bushes and stuff..

and went to a bolt shop, and got hi tensile bolts.. and locknuts.. to suit
youll get out, for the same price, or cheaper..
and not have to wait for the mail......

I just used all thread and some tube and made mine up to suit my lift with larger EL falcon bushes

don't reuse the bolts and split pins..
I had all mine that I didn't swap over to bolts and locknuts all let go from the corrugations on the way to Weipa.
couldn't get onto some locknuts soo locktite 222 had to do the job, going to be a prick to get undone but that's all I had on me at the time, had to buy the bolts but.

the castellated nut and pin are no match to corrugations

Ended up replacing with a maxtrax kit from Repco. $50 IIRC. Came with 4x standard nuts and 2x bolts.

When you lift them they tend to limit the travel and get bent and break. I drove around on mine for some time before realising it had broken and didn't notice any difference in body roll or handling. The general advice from my mates was to take it off as they don't make any significant difference on leaf sprung vehicles. The sway bar is supposed to reduce body roll and improve handling but firmer springs and new suspension bushes make much more difference than a sway bar. Mr Toyota didn't even bother putting one on the rear suspension. (Not having a sway bar on a coil sprung vehicle is a different story though. From what people tell me that's not a good idea on Patrols etc).

I was replacing my Brother in law's sway bar link rod on his VT commodore series 1 (I think) - the one without the ball joint type end. It looked the same as the Landcruiser one but was a couple of inches longer. I was thinking of using them and putting the sway bar back on but I don't know whether they would work or not. Maybe they wouldn't limit flex and break but then maybe they wouldn't work well with the sway bar either?

as above. I replaced the link rods in my 3inch lifted 60 series with rods from a commodore. stronger than original and about 2 1/2 inches longer. used new washers rubbers and nylock nuts. handling improved greatly. this was after a few months driving with the new springs on the original sway bar links.
