Post by CRUZAAMAD »

yup, the 40 series dash aren't too bright in the dash department.
after 13years or soo, she finally caught up with me
and the old flash for cash roadside.. got me a few weeks ago..
soo its about time I done something..

mind you no penalty notice in the mail, 6weeks later ..
and the trucks were passing me at a 100clicks..
soo reckon I was dead on..

soo, whos done what.. ?
cut the shields out ?
or upgraded the bulbs to LED... tried this and worse than the original.. bulbs for the speedo wise :bad-words:
they work good for the indicators and high beam.. illumination

ive heard of throwing a higher bulb capacity.. in but a mate had his dash glass......plastic melt..
cheap fix be good, than the other stuff on the market.. from America...

just cut the shields and go from there.. cheapest fix cos it costs nothing. and well worth the 5mins it takes to do.

a quick and painless upgrade is to point a single blue or red LED to the cluster from the top of the steering column.

Try looking up EL wire - did this on mine and I like the results. Having said that, I'm also going to look at cutting the shields and getting LED bulbs.

ive tee'd up the led bulbs, just have to get them sent..
and throw them in, the EL wire is too dear..

ive spent way too much over the years, and these led's are cheap enough.
wil throw up a pic when I get around to it
