Don't get me wrong, it should be dead... But it just won't let up! Even with the waste gate wired shut hitting in excess of 55psi and aas much fuel as it can take. Frequently get the Pyro to 700deg post too...
It's some kind of deamon engine!

Re: 1HZ or 1HD-T
Mark,
Milo is on the money.
I had a 1hd-t 80, powered up a bit. It had loads of grunt, was fun to drive. Any 1hd-t cruiser is now 20+ years old, that's every bit of it too, so bushes, steering, brakes, gearbox, diffs, electrics, A/C, suspension, seats, etc, all have 20yrs of wear and tear.
I now have a 1hz 105, its far more comfy, quieter etc than the 80. The 1hzzzzzzzzzzzz is gutless, but should run forever as is. Yeah the gearbox is a weak link, but mostly if you do a lot of towing or turbo the donk.
I'd choose the 105 everyday, but would love to have a 1hd-t and 80series gearbox in mine.
The 100/105s are physically larger, so if you're punting it through the bush, there's less room for error, but let's be honest, chicks dig rock rash
that's what I tell myself anyway
