Ashcroft Transmissions for the gearing.
The gearing for 33s will be good. I use stock gearing for 33s and 4.12 gearing for my 35 to 37" tyres.

I have not had recent dealing with the 3.5 V8 as my last two rangie have been 3.9 and 4.6L V8s

But my first rr was stock gearing on 37s and it went OK still so I would say 4.11 gearing would be good. I wouldn't go lower as the strength of the crown wheel is reduced as you lower the gearing.
