Expression of interest adjustable Upper Control Arms Sportag

Post by 4runnernomore »

Hi all,

Been working behind the scenes with a suspension specialist about resolving the upper control arm issue on our lifted Sportages.

The company is Performance Suspension based on the Gold Coast Queensland Australia. http://www.performancesuspension.com.au" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I have sent a upper control arm to them as a sample and a lot of emails and ideas have been sent back and forth.

What they have come up with is to make a cranked upper control Arm similar to the KJ jeep ones from jeepinbyal http://jeepinbyal.com/jeep-liberty-kj/j ... -arms.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The arms are planned to be adjustable on the ends as well to accommodate hopefully lifts of 40mm-100mm by taking the pressure off the upper balljoint and allow some down travel again. The ball joint Chris said would most likely be a machined ball joint housing for a press in ball joint.

Chris the owner of Performance Suspension had asked me to put the word out for expression of interest for potential purchasers. He is heading off to Taiwan to his manufacturers 9 April to organise a bunch of new products including the Sportage A-arms.

The price still has to be finalised but Chris believes they will be around $ 500 for the pair. These A-Arms will be low volume handmade probably 10 pairs at a time to minimise the cost impact on Performance Suspension so get in quick.

So if any one is interested in a set please feel free to PM me or reply on the forum and we can exchange details. Or feel free to contact Performance Suspension direct. Contact details are in the link above.

Cheers, Chris
