[SSS Winch Challenge]

Nominations are now open for the 2nd round of the year. We are capping it at 20 cars as discussed at Rd1 so we can have similar style tracks as Rd1 without making them shorter.

Please note all nominations and payment must be received by Friday 12 September 2014.

Venue: Landcruiser Mountain Park

Dates: 26 - 28 September 2014

Catering: Available from Friday night to Sunday lunch

Camping: TBA

Spectator Friendly: Yes

Scrutineering: From 2pm to 5pm Friday

Racing starts: 7pm Friday

Format: The format for Round 2 has changed a little this year.

Friday night will still have 2 stages under lights.

Saturday’s stages will consist of 2 stages before lunch. 1 will be a 2 hour stage with multiple cars on track while the other winch stage will be run at the same time.

After lunch there will be another 2 stages. Depending on the time and light left in the day there could be 1 winch stage and 1 speed stage back to camp or 2 winch stages.

Sunday will have its famous side by side racing to complete the weekends racing. Followed by presentation shortly after.

There will be GPS waypoints to find and stages will be spectator friendly.

[SSS Winch Challenge]

The format for Round 2 is going to be the same as Round 1.

Friday night will still have 2 stages under lights.

Don’t forget nominations and payments are due 19 September 2014 (this includes the $250 nomination fee and $110 for camping for driver and navigator).

If you are interested in Ray's $15 dinner on Saturday night and haven't yet let us know (this is also for spectators) please do so asap as we need to give him an estimate by mid next week.

Please let us know if you would be able to official by 19 September 2014. No experience needed.

Stirlo & Jubbo have been hard at it for the last few days and are just finishing now by putting up the arrows and numbers.

Friday nigh twill be side by side racing will be at Coopers under lights.

Saturday will also have a bit of technical, winches, speed & GPS.

Sunday will be side by side with a little bit of everything.

The weather has been a little bit of everything as well with warm days with chilly breeze, cloudy skies, couple of showers and cooling off at night time.

Just waiting on competitors and officials tomorrow...

[SSS Winch Challenge]

Round 2 has been run and won and done and dusted...literally. Even though there was rain at the beginning of the week it was very dusty at the end!

There was a lot of good constructive feedback from the weekend which was very much appreciated.

There was a bit of everything from technical, GPS, winches and speed.

Planning is now under way to make Round 3 even better!

It was also really good to catch up with a few of our sponsors on the weekend (Robbie Fraser & Mark Longley from Mickey Thompson & Bec from Bec-Kay Photography) as well.

Congratulations to British Offroad (1st), Pissed & Broke (2nd) and ABA Racing (3rd).
