Mine threw an engine light last night, took it in this morning there is a nissan bulletin about the egr programming, reprogrammed it, threw the light again this afternoon.

Seemed to go better after the reprogram and the 2nd light. Now with the light on driving normal.

I've done the EGR block with a blanking plate about 15,000 klms ago. The CEL light comes on periodically (due to insufficient exhaust flow recorded) but I clear it with an OBD2 reader. The cruise control is affected however, which was discussed on navara asia.

I'm fairly happy with the dual lockers although the Spartan in the rear cause the occasional tire squeal and noises as it clunks away. It would bother some people but I don't care too much, given the improvement offroad. (And the ability to do burn outs and donuts in the dirt in 2WD without the traction control killing the fun)

You can get a custom tune done, they switch the egr off. No faults or issues.

Problem is it is about 1800 for the tune.

Does your Navara axle hop a bit on dirt when you give it some. Mine does but I still have the stock shockers and I reckon beefier units would minimise this.

Especially in sand it has a fair bit of axle tramp.

Can't say I've noticed, I have a decent lift kit so I'm not sure if that fixed it.

Anyone installed after market upper control Arms?

Tossing up which ones to get.

I'd strongly suggest you get the extended ball joints. I don't think aftermarket UCA 's provide much more extra droop, compared to 35mm longer ball joints.

I have coil bucket contact on full droop, does it help with that? I'll definitely look into extended ball joints though

I got the upper control Arms as my preference.

I've noticed a change in ride and attitude of the car. Four stars.

There is 2 different diff centres in teh 550 apparently and it requires the Vin to know which one.

Seriously nissan, these things are a mess to source parts both aftermarket and genuine.

Busi that's not correct. The V9X's all have the same diffs. There are 2 different carriers for the front R180a diff to cater for the various gear ratio's, on all D40's. The actual front diff is the same. Just 2 sizes of centre carrier (and the V6's have a stronger 4 pinion design). ie one size for 3.133 to 3.538:1 ratio and another version for 3.692.

The rear diff is different on thai and spain versions and ours have a 10 bolt carrier.

All details here. ===>

Are you going to get airlockers or e-lockers?

An update on fuel consumption for those interested. Just did Mt Isa to Melbourne and back again (5200km's total) loaded up fairly heavy.

Sitting on a true 110 km/hr (from GPS) averaged 9.2 litres/100.

Does 8.4 l/100 sitting on a true 100km/hr.

Not too bad.

Let me ask why the rear diff is different on the Spanish and Thai version? This is the first time I've heard of it.
