bleeding breaks

Post by RB zook »

ok ive got extended break lines and im not to sure how to bleed them

the nipple thing on the caliper hase to have a tube running from it into water than pump the pedal till fluid comes out the pipe and tighten the back up so no air can get back in.

is that how to do it?

Easier with 2 ppl. One to pump the pedal the other to open and close the bleed screw. I'd suggest bleeding the whole system as you may have air further thru than just the front brakes.

you should also start at the point that is furthest away from the master cylinder. and do the front brake that is on the same system. i don't know what that would be in a coily but in my drover it turned out to be the opposite corner to the one that i'd just bleed at the back.
Its a good idea to flush the entire system anyway and get rid of any old brake fluid.

ok so i flush the old fluid out by pumping the break pedal with the engine running.

and look for the longest length line from the master cylender and bleed that first than do the next furthest.

how long would it take bout 1/2 an hour

The booster is only to assist with breaking while your driving it takes less effort on the pedal. When your bleeding them your opening the system so the pedal goes to the floor. Very easy to push in.
